Cheryl is a dedicated criminal and extradition solicitor. She qualified as a solicitor in 2012 and gained her ‘duty solicitor’ status in the same year. She spent several years working in one of the largest criminal law firms in West London and joined JFH Law in 2017. She is also a qualified solicitor and advocate in Singapore and speaks fluent Mandarin.
Cheryl regularly appears in Westminster Magistrates Court and has considerable experience in extradition. She has secured the discharge of several clients on technical and human rights arguments. She has also litigated on many reported cases on extradition, several of which are now the lead cases.
She is a passionate lawyer who believes strongly in access to justice and the importance of extending legal help to all those in need, especially to those facing criminal proceedings. She has volunteered for a charity in London, rendering legal assistance to persons facing the death penalty and the criminal legal aid scheme in Singapore where she provided her advice and mentored other lawyers.
